Referees and Judges Workshop For Peace King Cup 2008
The International TIMD workshop for Judges and Referee’s was held at Cheong Shin International Academy in Cheonpyeong, Korea from May 23 to 25, 2008. The 16 participants were Grand Master Mun and 7 Masters from Korean Hwalmoo Hapki-Do Association, Mr. Pittaya and his wife, Goy, Mr. Suttisri and Mr. Danan from Thailand TIMD Federation, Mr. Sumino from Sun Myung University, Master Alexy Pavlov from Eurasia continent, Master Venus Agustin from TIMD Asian continent, Mr. Ho Kee Kim from Korea and Master Takamitsu Hoshiko TIMD President from Japan and WTMF Secretary-General. Meanwhile, while Dr. Seuk has been away from Korea all participants felt that he is spiritually supporting us during the workshop.

The followings are the some of main points for reflection.

1. We could clarify and cover the rules especially the free sparring by studying the written rules and hold discussion in a lecture room and practicing the roles of referee and judge in dojang thereafter.

2. We felt the strong support especially from Hwalmoo Hapki-Do Masters and Thai TIMD Instructors and referee.

3. We could unite as referees and judges beyond our nationality by studying, discussing, practicing and living together.

4. Because we stayed in Cheong Shin International Academy together where Peace Cup 2008 would be held, we didn’t feel as strangers and sustain the kind of spirit when we come back again here this October.

5. We could be connected with staff of Cheong Shin International Academy?to prepare for Peace Cup 2008.

6. Let me express my appreciation to Dr. Seuk who allowed me to hold the workshop, Mr. Aoki for his financial support with the coordination of Mr. Morio Tateno, Mr. Ho Kee Kim for his hard work and all the participants from 5 nations representing many participants for their investment of time and efforts to bring the victory of Peace Cup 2008.

Takamitsu Hoshiko
Secretary General of WTIMF
